U.S. 192 east
The first eastbound reassurance shield of intrastate U.S. 192, posted on a brief undeveloped stretch leading east from the U.S. 27 trumpet interchange. Photo taken 05/27/05.
U.S. 192 mileage sign featuring the distances to Disney World (via World Drive north), Kissimmee (junction U.S. 17-92-441), and St. Cloud. Photo taken 05/27/05.
Departing Polk and Lake Counties, U.S. 192 now straddles the Orange and Osceola County lines. Photo taken 05/27/05.
Nearing the fairly new Westside Boulevard on U.S. 192 (Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway) eastbound. Westside Boulevard represents a new arterial serving developments to the east of Lake Davenport. Photo taken 05/27/05.
Approaching Orange Lake Boulevard on the six-lane U.S. 192. Orange Lake Boulevard spurs into the Orange Lake Country Club subdivision, one of many communities that now exist along the route west of Florida 429 Toll. Photo taken 05/27/05.
Early on during construction of the Florida 429 Toll diamond interchange with U.S. 192 (Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway). The Daniel Webster Western Beltway opened to traffic during December 2006 from U.S. 192 southward and in December of 2005 from U.S. 192 northward. Photos taken 05/27/05.
U.S. 192 east kinks southward away from the Orange County line at Black Lake Road. Black Lake Road parallels the federal highway beyond Black Lake to the east. Photo taken 05/27/05.

Formosa Gardens Boulevard ties into U.S. 192 at the next traffic light. The four-lane parkway circumvents Lake Wilson as it connects with Funie Steed and Sand Hill Road and their associated subdivisions. Photo taken 05/27/05.

Light posts, sign posts, and large mile markers feature a purple theme of nearby Walt Disney World. U.S. 192 acts as a commercial gateway to Disney World with a large array of lodging, eateries, and non-Disney tourist attractions. Pictured here is Mile Marker 5 near the signal at Entry Point Road south and Sherberth Road north. These mile markers provide reference points along the almost homogeneous landscape of U.S. 192. Photo taken 05/27/05.
Approaching junction Osceola County 545 (Old Lake Wilson Road) on U.S. 192 (Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway) east. Old Lake Wilson Road carries County 545 south 5.18 miles to junction Osceola County 532 (Osceola-Polk Line Road). Photo taken 05/27/05.
U.S. 192 east at the southbound beginning of Osceola County 545 (Old Lake Wilson Road). Old Lake Wilson Road's north end was relocated onto a new four-lane alignment east of the original county road end. The old two-lane alignment remains in use as Morgan Williams Road. Osceola County 545 serves newly built condominiums, golf course communities, and other suburban sprawl between U.S. 192 and Osceola-Polk Line Road. Photo taken 05/27/05.
One mile west of the directional-cloverleaf interchange with World Drive, the main entrance point to Walt Disney World from U.S. 192. World Drive exists as a controlled access expressway between Interstate 4 and Celebration to the south and the Magic Kingdom and Disney Hollywood Studios to the north. Photo taken 05/27/05.
One half mile west of the loop ramp onto World Drive north. World Drive acts as a full freeway with interchanges to Osceola Parkway for Disney's Animal Kingdom, Buena Vista Drive east for Hollywood Studios, Epcot Center Drive for Epcot before defaulting into the Magic Kingdom main entrance. Photo taken 05/27/05.
Passing under the directional ramp from World Drive south onto U.S. 192 east, a diagrammatical sign outlines the two-lane loop ramp onto World Drive north. World Drive in conjunction with U.S. 192 east provided the main route to Interstate 4 for years until it World Drive was extended southward. Even so, the connection adds a significant amount of traffic to U.S. 192 from those staying along the corridor or in Kissimmee. Incidentally access to World Drive south is provided via Griffin Road to the west as there is no direct ramp from U.S. 192 east. Photo taken 05/27/05.
Mile Marker 7 resides along an undeveloped stretch of U.S. 192 between the World Drive and Interstate 4 interchanges. Disney's Wide World of Sports lies directly north of this stretch, but no direct access is available here. Photo taken 05/27/05.
A large, and recently reconstructed (2005-08) directional-cloverleaf interchange joins U.S. 192 (Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway) with Interstate 4 (Exit 64). U.S. 192 continues east to Kissimmee, with connections to Florida's Turnpike south for Miami while Interstate 4 heads northeast into Orlando and southwest to Lakeland and Tampa. Photo taken 05/27/05.
St. Petersburg is mentioned on auxiliary guide sign for Interstate 4 west, perhaps for tourists headed back home from Walt Disney World, or for the fact that Interstate 4 originally ended in the city. Photo taken 05/27/05.
All traffic bound for Interstate 4 leaves U.S. 192 (Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway) in unison. This configuration remains unchanged during the interchange reconstruction project of the mid 2000s with a directional ramp joining Interstate 4 east ahead of Osceola Parkway. Photo taken 05/27/05.
Two lanes default onto Interstate 4 east for Orlando and points north (via Interstate 95). Interstate 4 southwest continues two miles to World Drive at Celebration. Photo taken 05/27/05.
U.S. 192 reassurance shield posted after the intersection with Florida 535's south end at Vineland Road. Photo taken 04/05/08.

Nearing the intersection of Old Vineland Road north and Bass Road south on U.S. 192 east. Old Vineland Road loops east of the six-lane arterial while Bass Road spurs south to the County Landfill. Photo taken 04/05/08.
Hoagland Boulevard meets U.S. 192 (Vine Street) at Osceola Square Mall. The north-south road encircles Kissimmee with Carroll Street leading north to John Young Parkway (unsigned Osceola County 525). Photo taken 04/05/08.
Hoagland Boulevard travels the west side of Kissimmee Gateway Airport to Clay Street and Pleasant Hill Road (unsigned Osceola County 531). Photo taken 04/05/08.
North Armstrong Drive heads north alongside Osceola Square Mall to Columbia Avenue from U.S. 192 (Vine Street). Photo taken 04/05/08.
The next signal governs the movements between U.S. 192 (Vine Street) and Dyer Boulevard. Dyer Boulevard south leads to Kissimmee Gateway Airport's terminal; northbound continues to Donegan Avenue and Kissimmee Elementary and Middle Schools. Photo taken 04/05/08.
U.S. 192 (Vine Street) east at unsigned Osceola County 531A (Thacker Avenue). Thacker Avenue travels north to the extended Flora Boulevard, with ultimate plans to join the road with a section of Thacker Avenue at The Loop and Loop West Shopping Centers as Osceola Parkway. Osceola County 531A entails the road south from Nowry Lane to Clay Street (unsigned Osceola County 531). Photo taken 04/05/08.
Eastbound U.S. 192 reassurance marker posted ahead of the Vine Street intersection with Emory Avenue. Photo taken 04/05/08.
Emory Avenue stems south from Vine Street to Oak Street Park and Patrick Street. Photo taken 04/05/08.
U.S. 192 prepares to merge with U.S. 17 & 92 at John Young Parkway (Bermuda Avenue). John Young Parkway ventures north from central Kissimmee to Osceola Parkway at The Loop Shopping Center. The six-lane divided highway carries unsigned Osceola County 525 to the Orange County line. Photo taken 04/05/08.
U.S. 17 & 92 enter Kissimmee from Orange Blossom Trail and John Young Parkway to the southwest from Campbell and Intercession Cities. Photo taken 04/05/08.
Originally U.S. 17 & 92 looped through downtown via Emmett Street, Broadway Avenue, and Main Street. The pair was relocated onto John Young Parkway (JYP) north to Vine Street east in 2000. Thus the TO banner pictured here is no longer accurate, as U.S. 192 east merges with U.S. 17 north & 92 east beyond JYP. Photo taken 04/05/08.
Another set of U.S. 17 & 92 shields posted ahead of the U.S. 192 (Vine Street) intersection with JYP. John Young Parkway continues north from the federal highways as an important arterial through south Orange County into Orlando. Portions of the route are unsigned County Roads. Photo taken 04/05/08.
U.S. 192 (Vine Street) east at U.S. 17 south & 92 (John Young Parkway) south. John Young Parkway (former Bermuda Avenue) carries the tandem southwest to unsigned Osceola County 531 (Pleasant Hill Road). Photo taken 04/05/08.
U.S. 192 parts ways with U.S. 17 north & 92 east at Main Street north of downtown Kissimmee. U.S. 441 south replaces the departing tandem on Vine Street east, sharing pavement with U.S. 192 east through St. Cloud. Photo taken 08/26/07.
