U.S. 27 South - U.S. 98 near Sebring to Miami

U.S. 27 South
Now heading east along Allapattah Boulevard, U.S. 27 travels east-west between Miami International Airport and U.S. 1/Biscayne Boulevard, sometimes sitting in the shadow of Florida 112/Airport Expressway and Interstate 195. U.S. 27 remains signed north-south for its entire route through Miami, unlike U.S. 41. U.S. 27 reaches its southern terminus at U.S. 1 in Miami, with an option available from eastbound U.S. 27 onto eastbound Interstate 195 over the Julia Tuttle Causeway. Photos taken 11/18/03.
In this earlier pair of photos taken from the same location in 2001, the Interstate 95 and Interstate 195 trailblazers were not in place yet. A banged up "Miami Beach" trailblazer sign was in place at that time. The END U.S. 27 shield assembly remains unchanged. Photos taken 12/29/01.
