U.S. Highway 27 South
This is the first set of reassurance shields for the U.S. 27-280 and Georgia 1-520 four-way overlap in Columbus along southbound. These highways travel Victory Drive southeastward out of central Columbus to Fort Benning and Cusseta. Photo taken 08/22/03.
Victory Drive dives sharply at the intersection of 10th Avenue. A speed advisory sign and flashers are situated along the six-lane boulevard between 6th and 10th Avenues. Sign bridge on southbound U.S. 27/westbound U.S. 280 for the southern terminus of Interstate 185. Interstate 185 composes the Lindsey Creek Bypass between Fort Benning and LaGrange. Shifting to southwestern Georgia, U.S. 27 & Georgia 1 enter the Bainbridge vicinity in central Decatur County. The federal highway meets U.S. 84 at West Bainbridge near the junction with Georgia 253 Spur (Airport Road). Descending the U.S. 84 west and U.S. 27 Business southbound off-ramp to Dothan Road from U.S. 27 southbound. U.S. 27 Business travels east along Dothan Road through West Bainbridge to junction Georgia 253 (Spring Creek Road).
