South Carolina 11 straddles the north country of South Carolina between Cleveland, Campobello (pop. 449), and the Exit 5 interchange of Interstate 26. The south split of U.S. 276 east from U.S. 25 south. U.S. 276 meets South Carolina 291 in five miles. U.S. 25 interchanges with U.S. 123 nine miles to the south. Originally U.S. 25 split between a Business and Bypass component through Greenville. U.S. 25 Bypass followed the current U.S. 25 mainline along Duncan and White Horse Roads. U.S. 25 Business meanwhile overlapped with U.S. 276 east along Poinsett Highway to Rutherdford, Buncombe, and Main Streets among others through downtown Greenville. Photo taken 07/23/04. |
