Interstate 510 & Louisiana 47

Interstate 510 serves New Orleans East as a spur linking Interstate 10 near Little Woods with the Louisiana 47 Intracoastal Waterway bridge north of Chalmette. The freeway replaced Paris Road (old Louisiana 47) as the main north-south route in the area. Interstate 510 was constructed initially as the easternmost leg of the unconstructed Interstate 410 south New Orleans beltway. Louisiana 47 shields co-sign with the freeway along its entire routing.
