A trumpet interchange joins Interstate 110 & Mississippi 15 at U.S. 90 (Beach Boulevard) along the Gulf of Mexico coastline. An elevated ramp serves the northbound beginning from Beach Boulevard eastbound. Westbound U.S. 90 motorists make a right-hand turn onto a surface ramp that ascends toward the freeway viaduct. Two half-diamond interchanges add additional traffic onto Interstate 110 & Mississippi 15 northbound from downtown Biloxi at Division Street and Bayview Avenues. There are no northbound off-ramps in Biloxi itself. Photo taken 06/10/06.
A four-lane bridge spans the Back Bay of Biloxi between the Bayview Avenue interchange and D'Iberville. The bridge replaced the original Mississippi 15 Callavet Street bridge to the east. Powerful waves associated with Hurricane Katrina's storm surge toppled a portion of the former bridge into the bay. The old span was used as a fishing pier until Katrina's landfall, and now what's left of it remains abandoned within eyeshot of the northbound Interstate 110 & Mississippi travel lanes. Interstate 110 & Mississippi 15 northbound cross the Back Back of Biloxi via the Water L. Nixon Memorial Bridge. The span also carries a sidewalk between Biloxi and D'Iberville. At the north end of the bridge is the Exit 2 diamond interchange with Auto Mall Parkway north and Rodriguez Street east at D'Iberville. Photo taken 06/10/06.
The Back Bay of Biloxi Bridge includes a draw span that allows large vessels to pass below. Interstate 110's draw bridge is one of a handful along the Eisenhower Interstate System. Photo taken 06/10/06.

Interstate 110 & Mississippi 15 northbound descend into D'Iberville from the Walter L. Nixon Memorial Bridge. There were lights for these signs at one point. Photo taken 06/10/06.
Interstate 110 & Mississippi 15 leave Exit 2 and pass over D'Iberville Boulevard at the 0.75-mile guide sign for Exits 4A/B (junction Interstate 10). The forthcoming full-cloverleaf interchange lies south of the Tchoutacabouffa River. Photo taken 06/10/06.
Only one set of Interstate 110 & Mississippi 15 reassurance markers remains along the freeway following the landfall of Hurricane Katrina. Photo taken 06/10/06.
Interstate 110 northbound at the Exit 4A ramp departure for Interstate 10 eastbound to Mobile, Alabama. Interstate 10 skims the northern reaches of the Mississippi Gulf Coastal cities of Jackson County. Due to the Hurricane Katrina destruction of the U.S. 90 Biloxi Bay Bridge, Interstate 10 provides the only link between Biloxi and Ocean Springs. The freeway serves Gautier, Moss Point, and Pascagoula on the 50-mile drive to Mobile. Photo taken 06/10/06.
Exit 4B leaves Interstate 110 & Mississippi 15 northbound at the I-110 ends sign. Interstate 10 constitutes a six-lane freeway between Mississippi 609 at St. Martin and Exit 28 at Jones Mill. The freeway serves the city of Gulfport via Exits 38 and 34, and Long Beach, Pass Christian, Bay St. Louis, Waveland, and Diamondhead on the 46-mile drive to the Louisiana state line. Interstate 10 continues from the Magnolia State southwest to New Orleans from Slidell, Louisiana. Photo taken 06/10/06.
A lone Mississippi 15 shield resides ahead of the intersection with Sangania Boulevard at the freeway end. Mississippi 15 continues northward serving northern portions of D'Iberville before disappearing into the De Soto National Forest at junction Mississippi 26. A second segment of the state highway exists from Beaumont (U.S. 98 northward), and MDOT plans on completing the missing Mississippi 15 in the near future. Photo taken 06/10/06.
