Interstate 95 southbound as it nears the Exit 98 folded-diamond interchange with Anderson Street. Anderson Street travels west into downtown Selma, meeting U.S. 301 & North Carolina 96 (Pollock Street). Selma lies just north of Smithfield in central Johnston County at the crossroads of U.S. 70 and U.S. 301. Photo taken 06/25/05.
Exit 98 provides access to Historic Union Station which serves Amtrak trains. Anderson Street parallels the Norfolk-Southern Railroad into town. Amtrak follows the CSX railroad line nearby through the eastern reaches of Selma. East of town, Anderson Street becomes Main Street en route to Pine Level. Photo taken 06/25/05.
