Interstate 95 leaves its interchange with U.S. 76 (Exit 157) and approaches the eastern terminus of Interstate 20 and Business Spur Interstate 20 east (Exits 160A/B). Interstate 20 begins at the forthcoming directional-cloverleaf and links Florence with the capital city of Columbia and Augusta, Georgia. One mile south of the Exit 160 interchange with Interstate 20 west and Business Spur Interstate 20 east. Business Spur 20 is displayed first because Exit 160A serves Florence next. Interstates ending as Business Spurs in South Carolina is a somewhat common practice, though through time, many of the other Business Spurs have become vastly unsigned. Business Spur 20 however remains signed well as it joins Interstates 20 & 95 with U.S. 76 two miles west of downtown Florence. Photo taken 06/25/05. |

Exit 160A for Business Spur Interstate 20 eastbound departs Interstate 95 northbound. The 1.8 mile spur connects Interstates 20 and 95 with U.S. 76 near downtown Florence. | A second look at the Business Spur Interstate 20 eastbound off-ramp (Exit 160A) from Interstate 95 north. Use Exit 160A for the Florence Visitors Center and Florence Civic Center. Other Interstates in South Carolina that end as Business Spurs include Interstate 126, Interstate 385, and Interstate 585. Widening of Interstate 95 took place until April of 2004 between Interstate 20 and South Carolina 327. The fairly new six-lane stretch includes a left-lane restriction for all tractor trailers. Similar restrictions exist on six-lane portions of Interstate 85 in the Upstate. Photo taken 06/25/05. |
