Future Interstate 73 South / Joseph Bryan Boulevard East

A directional-cloverleaf, partially open, joins Bryan Boulevard and Future Interstate 840. Interstate 73 begins and heads south to Interstate 40 & U.S. 421 and Painter Boulevard. Interstate 73 South & Future Interstate 840 West
First west/southbound reassurance markers for Interstate 73 & Future I-840 posted after the Bryan Boulevard interchange on the Greensboro Beltway south. Interstate 73 reduces to two through lanes for the continuation onto Painter Boulevard with U.S. 421 east. The right-hand lane defaults onto the directional ramps (Exit 1) for Interstate 40 west & U.S. 421 north to Winston Salem and Interstate 40 east to downtown Greensboro. Interstate 73 & U.S. 421 South

A complex interchange joins Interstates 73 & U.S. 421 with Interstate 85 and Business Loop Interstate 85 & U.S. 29-70 at Exits 97A/B. Interstate 73 & U.S. 421 join Interstate 85 north briefly to Exit 122 along collector/distributor roadways. Business Loop Interstate 85 & U.S. 29-70 follow original Interstate 85 northeast toward central Greensboro. Exit 97A departs Interstate 73 & U.S. 421 south for Interstate 85 & U.S. 29 south and U.S. 70 west to High Point. U.S. 29 & 70 follow Business Loop Interstate 85 through High Point and Thomasville while Interstate 85 bypasses to the south en route to Saulsbury, Concord, and Charlotte. Exit 97B quickly follows for Business Loop Interstate 85 & U.S. 29 north and U.S. 70 east into Greensboro. The trio continue together six miles to Henry Boulevard in east Greensboro. Continuing along Interstate 73 & U.S. 421 south, which follow the c/d roadways of Interstate 75 between Exits 97 and 122 to junction U.S. 220. Interstate 73 departs U.S. 421 south and Interstate 85 north via Exit 122 onto U.S. 220 south for Randleman and Asheboro. Exit 118 consists of a three-quarter cloverleaf interchange between Interstates 73 & 85 and U.S. 220 & 421. Two of the eight movements are missing due to the nearby confluence of U.S. 220 with Business Loop Interstate 85 & U.S. 29-70. U.S. 220 continues from there with the trio eastward to Henry Boulevard.
