Just north of the Orange County line, Interstate 4 pushes northward toward the Exit 92 diamond interchange with Florida 436 (Semoran Boulevard). Florida 436 comprises a busy east-west surface arterial between U.S. 441 (Orange Blossom Trail) at Apopka and Florida 528 Toll (Beachline Expressway) at Orlando International Airport. Sanlando Springs carries the state road west from U.S. 17 & 92 (Dixie Highway) through Longwood to junction Florida 436 (Semoran Boulevard) at Forest City. Exit 98 joins Lake Mary Boulevard with Interstate 4 via a partial-cloverleaf interchange. Lake Mary Boulevard travels east from Markham Woods Road to Red Cleveland Boulevard south of Orlando-Sanford International Airport. Drivers bound for Lake Mary Boulevard depart Interstate 4 eastbound. Lake Mary Boulevard intersects International Parkway and Heathrow Boulevard just west of the freeway. To the east, the arterial meets unsigned Seminole County 431B (Rinehart Road) in one mile, Seminole County 15 (Country Club Road) in 2.5 miles, and junction U.S. 17 & 92 at Sanford in five miles. | The sprawling Orlando metropolitan area encompasses Interstate 4 through Osceola, Orange, and Seminole Counties. Through the early 2000s, Interstate 4 was widened to six to eight lanes in several sections, including this stretch just south of Sanford. | The next exit along eastbound (northbound) Interstate 4 is Exit 101A, Junction Seminole County Route 46A/Paola Road, followed by Exits 101B-C, which encompasses the connections to Florida 46/West First Street and Toll Florida 417/Seminole Expressway south to the Central Florida Greeneway. Upon entering Sanford, Seminole County Route 46A becomes 25th Street, which in turn becomes Florida 46 after crossing U.S. 17-92/French Avenue.
