Florida 666 begins and follows 150th Avenue to Tom Stuart Causeway, a draw bridge linking Madeira Beach with Duhme Road (Pinellas County 321). A $76.9-million project is replacing the original spans with twin-span bascule bridges on the same alignment that will provide a great horizontal clearance to vessels below. Pinellas County 150 (107th Avenue) joins Florida 699 (Gulf Boulevard) with Treasure Island Causeway in downtown Treasure Island. The draw bridge portion of the causeway was rebuilt in 2006-07, replacing the original 1938 span. Opening of the new span (August 25, 2007) coincided with the removal of tolls along the causeway.
