Florida A1A & 528 span the Indian River along Bennett Causeway between Merritt Island and Cocoa. Intersecting the freeway at the Exit 46 folded-diamond interchange is U.S. 1 (Cocoa Boulevard). U.S. 1 provides the main drag between Titusville, Cocoa, and Rockledge, serving the downtown areas of all three towns. Florida 528 passes over the Florida East Coast Railroad ahead of the ramps to Florida 524 (Clearlake Road) and Industry Road (Exits 45B/A). Florida 524 begins near the forthcoming interchange and then travels southwest to Canaveral Grove and ultimately junction Florida 520.
