A scant 300 feet or so constitute what is left of Florida 294. Originally the highway connected the Alabama/Florida state line to Pensacola along what would become U.S. 98. The only remaining segment of Florida 294 is a connector between the curving Navy Boulevard (U.S. 98) and Florida 295. This was the original configuration of Navy Boulevard as it linked with Florida 295.

Western Terminus
Florida 294 draws to a quick close at Florida 295/New Warrington Road. Turning to the right will take one toward the Florida 295 expressway at U.S. 90 & Florida 298. Otherwise the area is fronted by numerous strip malls and other commercial type development. Photo taken 12/21/03.
Florida 294 itself is designated as "Chief's Way". This photograph shows the perspective of the western terminus from that of Florida 295 northbound. There are no Florida 294 related shields on either U.S. 98/Navy Boulevard or Florida 295. Photo taken 12/21/03.
Eastern Terminus
Florida 294 ends at U.S. 98 (Navy Boulevard) with these mast arm traffic lights governing movements between the two. Florida 294 retains a concrete surface between Florida 295 and U.S. 98. Traffic turning to the left will enter Pensacola proper in a short distance. Photo taken 12/21/03.

One intersection is situated between the Florida 294 end points, that with Old Corry Field Road. The former alignment of Florida 295 travels between Florida 292 (Barrancas Avenue) and Florida 298 (Lillian Highway). While Florida 295 now travels on New Warrington Road to the west, Florida 298 still sees its eastern terminus at Escambia County 295A. Photo taken 12/21/03.
