Florida 50 Eastbound

Florida 50 east
Florida 50 travels east from Weeki Wachee to Florida 589 Toll (Suncoast Parkway) along a heavily developed arterial. East of the Suncoast Parkway, the state road heads to the Hernando County seat of Brooksville. U.S. 98 also travels to Brooksville from Chassahowizka to the northwest. Hernando County 485 provides a more direct route to U.S. 98 north from Florida 50 east. Motorists bound for U.S. 98 south should remain on Florida 50 and bypass downtown Brooksville. Florida 50 splits with Florida 50A, an older alignment of Florida 50 through downtown Brooksville. Hernando County 485 (Cobb Road) begins at the same intersection and travels north to U.S. 98.
