While some maps elude to the idea that Alabama 152 is a full freeway between Interstate 65 and U.S. 231 & Alabama 21, there is one at-grade intersection. This traffic light is featured at the Jacksons Ferry Road intersection. Jacksons Ferry Road travels north-south between Commerce Street and northern reaches of Montgomery County. Another non-freeway element of Northern Boulevard is an at-grade railroad crossing. This crossing is situated between the Jacksons Ferry Road intersection and interchange at Lower Wetumpka Road. It appears that both the intersection and railroad crossing can easily be upgraded to an interchange and overpass respectively. The frontage along this stretch of North Boulevard is vastly untouched by development. Photo taken 08/22/03.
