Alabama 100 appears on most highway maps, yet is no longer signed. The two mile route connected former U.S. 29 near downtown Andalusia with U.S. 84 east of town. Counties: Covington
Old U.S. 29 northbound at the former western terminus of Alabama 100. It appears that with the relocation of U.S. 29 out of downtown, Alabama 100 no longer connected with a numbered route, therefore reducing its significance in the state highway system. Photo taken 11/25/01.
Alabama 100 drew to an eastern close at U.S. 84 approximately two miles east of the downtown area. The residential route allows traffic destined to Opp and other points eastward direct access to U.S. 84. Photo taken 11/25/01.
